Mark Rush Williamson

Williamson Family Law, P.C.
12222 Merit Drive, Suite 1200
Dallas, Texas 75251

Over two decades of Texas family law practice. One area of focus.

Mark Rush Williamson has practiced family law in Texas since 1985, the year he received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. His practice has never extended beyond family law. No commercial litigation, no insurance defense, no ancillary practice areas. The entirety of his professional focus — for over two decades — has been the matters that most directly affect individuals’ lives and financial futures.

His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University. That foundation informs how he approaches the financial complexity inherent in property division — retirement account valuations, real property transfers, business interests, and the tax consequences that accompany each. His admission to the U.S. Tax Court reflects a depth of knowledge that most family law practitioners do not possess.

He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly in 16 separate years and has held the AV Preeminent peer review rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell continuously since 2005.

Professional Philosophy

Direct and transparent

Mark communicates clearly about fees, realistic outcomes, and the likely trajectory of a matter. Clients are not left to speculate about cost or strategy.

Resolution over litigation

Over two decades of practice has reinforced that unnecessary litigation is expensive, time-consuming, and damaging. Mark resolves matters efficiently when he can, and litigates effectively when he must.

Personal accountability

When you retain this firm, your matter is handled by Mark Williamson — not delegated to an associate you have not met. He takes the calls, reviews the documents, and appears in court.
